Brazil Jails Cripto Scheme Operators in Combined 171

The Brazilian Federal Court condemned three members of the CRIPTO Scheme Braiscompani in combined 171 years in prison, marking one of the most difficult sentences in financial fraud.
Joel Ferreira de Souza, identified as the main operator of the pyramid scheme, was sentenced to 128 years, 5 months and 28 days in prison after he was sentenced to 11 points of money laundering, according to local reporting.
