“When technologically giants like Google begin in an integral evidence of zero knowledge, it is a clear signal that privacy innovations become the mainstream,” said Rob Viglione, in CRIPTO.NEVS. “The next stop for our industry is the construction of a privacy solution association that offer greater protection without the load of the regulator.”
Age thresholds for online shopping
Google said that the ZKPS will power a new form of private age verification through its digital credential API.
Implementation will allow users to prove to fulfill the sills of age for services such as Bumble and online alcoholic alcohol, without discovering anything outside that fact.
“We develop a system that not only verifies age, but it works in a way that protects your privacy,” Google announced in his blog. “There’s no way to connect old age back to your identity.”
Vigoslavi called this shift long-term. “Privacy should not be a luxury or after that, it should be default,” he said. “It’s exciting to see leading companies to recognize that.”
As part of the update, Google also plans to open the source CPC Technology, with the aim of helping other wallets and services adopt functions on preserving privacy. The new functionality varies in addition to the expansion of digital IDs in several American countries, UK and 50 additional countries.
