CoreWeave strengthens its Board of Directors with the appointment of Karen Boone
CoreWeave, a leading AI cloud solutions company, has announced the appointment of Karen Boone as an independent member of its Board of Directors. Boone, an experienced executive, will bring a wealth of financial management and corporate governance experience to the position, effective January 2025, according to CoreWeave.
Bonn’s extensive experience
Karen Boone’s career is marked by significant leadership roles in major companies. She most recently served as Interim Co-CEO and Co-President of Peloton Interactive, Inc., a Fortune 500 company. Her tenure at Peloton included roles such as Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chair of the Audit Committee, roles she held from January 2019 to May 2024. Prior to joining Peloton, Boone served as President and CFO of Restoration Hardware, Inc., and spent 15 years at Deloitte & Touche LLP, where She rose to the position of audit partner.
Boone also holds board positions at other prominent companies, including Sonos, Inc. and Rivian Automotive, Inc., along with several private companies. Her extensive background in leading companies during critical growth stages is expected to be of great value to CoreWeave as it continues to expand its capabilities in AI-driven cloud solutions.
CoreWeave’s strategic growth
Mike Intrator, co-founder and CEO of CoreWeave, expressed confidence in Boone’s ability to contribute to the company’s strategic direction. “Karen’s executive leadership skills and financial acumen will strengthen the Board and further support our mission as we deliver some of the most advanced AI-powered cloud solutions in the industry,” said Intrator.
