Russia records registration in miners by encryption by November 1, 2025
By November 1, all cryptocurrencies in Russia must register their mining equipment, according to the government news agency. The report also states that RosfinMonitionoring, the state’s financial authors, will develop a central database for this purpose. In other words, unregistered mining will not be possible, ensuring that every process is registered officially.
This initiative, under the leadership of the Deputy Energy Minister Yevgeny Grabchak, is part of a wider effort to organize the sector, especially in the areas where mining is already banned. In November 2024, the authorities banned coding mining in six areas due to a lack of power, including some occupied areas in Ukraine, even in the external areas of Russian control. The ban will remain in effect from December 2024 to March 2031.
Besides the record, it has the Russian federal tax service (FNS) foot Web platform for helping miners report their profits. Using a qualified electronic signature, miners can now announce their digital income through their FNS accounts.
The new tax system signed by President Vladimir Putin at the end of 2024 entered into force this year. Miners with profits of 2.4 million rubles (23,976 dollars) pay a 13 % tax under the new bases, while taxes are imposed on more than 15 %. Moreover, since 20 of every later month, miners must submit a report on their profits for the previous month.
