XRP was deleted from Ripple from the approved Cryptos menu

As XRP continues to ascend, gestures are organizers and global initiatives to expand adoption, including capabilities Grayscale XRP ETF And cme XRP futuresShadow is depicted on his organizational position in the Chinese administrative area of Hong Kong.

Ripple’s XRP is clear due to its absence

On January 27, the Hong Kong Financial Organization Authority granted the Securities and Futures Committee (SFC) Licensing To two local exchanges, Panthertrade and Yax, to work in the city – the first encryption circulation licenses issued in 2025.

It is worth noting that SFC has only approved four encrypted currencies for trading: Bitcoin, Ether, Avalanche and ChainLink. The absence of Ripple’s XRP from this list raises questions about the organizational position of this encrypted currency in the region. Despite its widespread global adoption, XRP is currently not allowed to trade in Hong Kong.

Strict regulations for exchanges including AML and CTF

The licensed exchanges in the area are required to comply with strict regulations, including anti -money laundering laws (AML) and terrorist financing laws (CTF). To date, 10 encryption exchanges under these regulations have been registered and allowed to operate the virtual asset trading platforms in Hong Kong.

SFC initially planned to agree to 11 encryption trading platforms by the end of 2024, but it faced delays due to strict compliance tests. In December 2024, four virtual asset trading platforms were granted licenses, and the organizers continued to work closely with the executives of the stock exchange to ensure that financial standards are met.

The reason for excluding XRP from the approved list is unclear, but it may be associated with the ongoing legal issues of Ripple in various countries. SFC did not make any official explanation for this decision.
