After posting a tweet urging the cryptocurrency community to stop attacking each other and be friendly for change, one commenter wondered who the “enemy of crypto” is now that the former SEC chairman announced his resignation. “Gary just walked in, we already won,” he declared.

Schwartz responded that if there is a “new enemy of crypto,” the community doesn’t know who it is yet — “I don’t think we know now.” However, Schwartz posited that perhaps a major cryptocurrency critic like Gensler will not emerge when he takes over as SEC chairman.

Ripple CLO celebrates Gensler’s last day in office

On Friday, Stuart Alderotti, Ripple’s chief legal officer, tweeted that this is Gary Gensler’s last full day as SEC chairman.

The CLO assumed that in the future the cryptocurrency community will gradually forget who he is and what he did with Ripple and the cryptocurrency space in general during his four-year stay in the office. “Starting tomorrow, ‘Gary who?'” would be the only appropriate response if someone mentioned his name,” Alderotti tweeted.
