The registration and certification procedures for cryptocurrency mining activities in Kyrgyzstan have been changed. Prime Minister Adilbek Kasymaliev signed a decision on amending some decisions in the field of turnover of virtual assets.

The document was developed in order to stimulate the development of the virtual assets market and protect the rights/interests of investors and aims to achieve such objectives as creating a favorable environment for the flow of investments into the economy, correcting errors and loopholes in the economy. Legislation in the field of turnover of virtual assets, regulation of issues of preventing the use of virtual assets in money laundering and terrorist financing, and stimulating further development of the virtual assets market.

In accordance with the changes, requirements for virtual assets trading operators have been increased, as well as updating the activities of virtual assets exchange operators, regulation of the issuance of virtual assets and registration and certification procedures for cryptocurrency mining activities. It has been modified.
