Crypto price today (January 7, 2025): Bitcoin price rises to more than $100,000

The cryptocurrency market started today’s Asian trading hours on an optimistic note, with the total market capitalization increasing by 1.06% in 24 hours to $3.58 trillion. Daily business saw a huge rise of 39.66% to $127.33 billion. Respectively, the Fear and Greed Index currently stands at 66, indicating growing “greed” among investors.

Bitcoin price today rises to more than $100,000!

Bitcoin price today increased by 2% compared to the previous day to reach $101,722.53. Strong institutional support helped Bitcoin price rise from a 24-hour low of $98,713.65 to a peak of $102,712.49. As a result, market capitalization rose by 2.05% to $2.01 trillion, while trading volume increased by a staggering 89.17% to $49.57 billion.

Altcoins Resisting Bitcoin Movement?

Ethereum price suffered some headwinds on the daily chart, falling 0.66% to $3,669.87. On the other hand, Solana and XRP saw fairly minor changes, with SOL falling 0.18% to $216.23, and XRP rising 0.17% to $2.42.

Top winners and losers

Among today’s flag bearers is Worldcoin (WLD), which rose 5.80% to $2.57, followed by Render Token (RNDR) and BitTorrent (BTT), with gains of 5.14% and 5.07%, respectively. On the losing side, FARTCOIN took a hit, falling 15.88% to $1.15, while ENA and VIRTUAL followed suit, falling 8.01% and 7.62%.
