Pi Network saw its base mining rate decline, down 5.71% at the start of the new year. As of January, the mining rate has decreased from 0.0050594 Pi per hour to 0.0047706 Pi per hour.
This modification makes Pi mining more difficult, which encourages miners to remain consistent and improve their rewards.
The Pi Network community is encouraged to continue their efforts, as maintaining consistency will be key to earning Pi tokens under the new, more stringent mining conditions. This reduction reinforces the network’s strategy of gradually adjusting mining rates to keep pace with the increasing value and adoption of Pi in the ecosystem.
In contrast, on August 1, Pi Network saw Sudden increase of 18% in the base mining rate, defying the expected decline.
