Beyond digital gold, the next chapter of Bitcoin is about to be opened – Dan Hold

Bitcoin (BTCIt has long been described as “digital gold”, a valuable store for believers in scarcity, decentralization and self -sovereignty. With the growth of the institutional interest, political geography turns, and new layers appear on the bitcoin pile, is it time to develop the narration?
In this episode of Clear CryptoNathan Guevay and Gareth Jenkson talks to Bitcoiner and businessman HELD, who argues that the next chapter of Bitcoin may open the broader functions, from impregnated use cases to microscopic correspondence that exceeds the bladder circles.
Political transformations
With US President Donald Trump, who publicly supports Bitcoin – is said to have he himself – he said he sees an organizational change and a reputation.
“We have the most open management towards Bitcoin in the United States,” he said.
“It is a kind of strange feeling … usually in the press, bitcoin mining destroys the environment. It is used by money laundering … and instead, you have the president encourages bitcoin.”
I followed the likely tracking of Bitcoin within moments of adversity, from mining campaign in China to the strict approach to the Biden administration in banking services for encryption. However, despite these challenges, nearly 25 % of Americans now own Bitcoin now.
Defi on Bitcoin
What comes after that may lead the original to a new stage. They are HELD and Jenkinson supporters of building decentralized financing tools (Defi) at the head of Bitcoin, and traditionally associated functions with Blockchains such as Ethereum or Solana.
If we can bring us [DeFi] Returning to Bitcoin, Bitcoin can be used not only a spot speculation … but these other speculative games will allow Bitcoin to grow faster. ”
This includes borrowing, lending and tricks, all mechanisms that allow users to interact with bitcoin to the simple holding or trading.

Jenkson chanted the capabilities, with a highlight of the shift in the situation: “If you can use [Bitcoin] And bring it to that, you mainly allow people to use digital gold as a basic origin … it is very difficult, because most hard -line bitcoin members do not want people to give up bitcoin for something else. “
This tension between the so -called “growing bitcoin” and the most moderate voices are not new, as noted. He narrated the 2017 Bitcoin Cash fork, describing it as “a civil war … a brother against the brother.” But unlike this controversial division, today’s development occurs without rewriting the basic bitcoin bases. “Nobody suggests changing the bitcoin rules,” Hilde said. “This innovation is based on the top.”
