CBOE 2 spots XRP ETF applications

CBE submitted four separate 19B-4 applications with US Securities and Replacement Commissions (SEC) in the introductory place XRP Commercial funds (ETFS).

These 19B-4 applications are monitored by the S-1 issuer, crossing the proposals closer to regulatory consideration. Once you confirm the reception account, the agency has a 240-day window to view and decide whether to approve or reject ETFS.

ETF submission details

The proposed XRP ETFs will monitor the price of KSRP, the fourth largest crypto, market capitalization.

According to the CBOE, authorized participants will not be included in the DIFF Direct Transactions of the KSRP while creating or redeeming the ETF. Instead, the structure provides exposure to XRP pricing movements without the need for fund managers to buy or hold property directly.

In addition, the application compares the approval process spot Bitcoin and Etherum ETFS.

CBE pointed out that while XRP does not have a futures market, DC approved Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFS Despite the Futures CME market for both funds that are not considered a “significant size”.

The submission argues that there are alternative risk mitigation mechanisms and market, making an agreement on supervision unnecessarily for the KSRP ETFS.
